US Oncology Remodel and Addition,

Engineer of record for the remodel of a
5388-sf existing building area being transformed into a new oncology
suite with a CT scanner. Portions of the suite we lined with lead
for containment of radiation. Adjacent to the suite we engineered a
new 1750-sf single story linear accelerator concrete vault building
addition. Floor is three feet thick, walls and ceiling are four feet

structure. A composite floor beam system was utilized in bays
housing the Lasik surgery area to minimize vibrations. The
structural design involved joist girder moment frames in one
direction and braced bays in the other direction.
